hey mark im starting to fish and i have a doubt i have a shakespaer rod that can hold 40 pound line what type of fish i can fish cuz i dont want the rod to break.. and if u have some suggestion of lines and hook i would aprreciate it .

Dear Manuel:
The best advice I can give you is to visit a local tackle store, take the rod with you, and ask them to suggest the right line for the rod. What you select also depends on the species you plan to catch and where you intend to fish.
It's very difficult for me to answer your questions without seeing the rod and knowing the species you seek and how you are going to fish for them.
